Elizabeth A. (Soulen) O'Connor, 97, of Charlestown died on Saturday, July 22, 2017 in Manatawny Manor, East Coventry, PA. She was a widow of Roy B. O'Connor with whom she shared 45 years of marriage.
Born on September 23, 1919 in Charlestown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Henry J. and Gertrude (Biesel) Soulen.
She was a graduate of Phoenixville High School and Pierce Business College.
She was a secretary for Vishay Intertechnologies Inc. for 13 years before retiring in 1983.
She was an active member of Charlestown United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher for many years, and was a longtime member of the choir. She was also an Assistant Teacher at Charlestown Playhouse for many years.
She is survived by grandson, Joseph O'Connor of Plymouth Meeting, PA,
niece, Bonnie Sumerfield of Downingtown, PA,
nephew, David Soulen of Oklahoma,
as well as several other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by son, Gary D. O'Connor, brothers, Henry, Robert, Richard and David Soulen, and sister, Nancy Sumerfield.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service in Charlestown United Methodist Church, 650 Church Road, Malvern, PA, on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 10:30 am.
Burial will follow in Philadelphia Memorial Park, Frazer, PA.
A viewing will be held in the church on Saturday morning from 9:15 am to 10:15 am.
