Elizabeth D. Matz

Elizabeth (Dohan) Matz, 86, wife of the late Andrew R. Matz of Chester Springs, PA passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025.

Born on September 10, 1938 in Bryn Mawr, PA she was the daughter of the late Paul D. and Mary A. (Sloan) Dohan.

She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Cornell University, earned her Master's Degree in Chemistry from Saint Joseph’s University, and PhD coursework at Villanova University.  She worked as Director of Research and Development at Glaxo Smith Kline in Conshohocken, PA.

Elizabeth was a member of the American Chemical Society, a Sectional Master bridge player, and was a charitable supporter of many animal organizations.

She is survived by 6 children:  

1. Paul husband of Nan Matz;
2. Marie wife of Allen Keely;
3. Drew husband of Sandy Matz;
4. Nancy wife of Kal Johnson;
5. Jeanne wife of Tom Findlay;
6. David Matz.
7. 
   

8 Grandchildren, Nolan, Parker, Bryan, Ryan, Dan, Tyler, Melissa, and Ricky.

Service and burial will be private.
