Elizabeth Marko

Elizabeth Marko, 86, wife of Joseph Marko of Tredyffrin Township passed away in Paoli Hospital on Friday, January 19, 2024.

Born in September 3, 1937 in Philadelphia, PA she was the daughter of the late Michael and Edith (Ruggiero) Torretti.  

Elizabeth worked as a technical illustrator in the Research Lab at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia.  She was active in reenactments at Valley Forge National Park.  She was a member of the Glenn Valley Garden Club and Newcomer's Club.  She was also a talented artist and enjoyed painting and loved animals, especially cats and dogs.

In addition to her husband of 66 years, she is survived by two sons:  David husband of Kikuko Marko and Perry Marko; and sister, Marylyn Ulrich.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing in St. Michael the Archangel Byzantine Catholic Church, 203 Jacobs Streets, Mont Clare, PA  on Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 9:00 to 10:00 am.  A Funeral Service with Divine Liturgy will begin at 10:00 am with Rev. Andriy Kovach officiating.  

Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Elizabeth's name may be given to either:

St. Michael the Archangel Byzantine Catholic Church, 203 Jacobs Street, Mont Clare, PA  19453.
