Elizabeth M. " Betty" Koch 94 years old passed away Wednesday August 5th, 2020 after a brief illness and surrounded by her Loving children. Betty was born April 20th , 1926 to the late Anna ( Murphy ) Koch and Joseph Koch.
A lifelong resident of Phoenixville , Betty knew everyone with her quick wit , laugh and smile. At 93 years old she would be in town and tell people what business' were there when she was growing up and through the 40's to 2018. Betty loved talking to old and new friends alike.
Betty worked for 60 years in the Restaurant Industry, serving many famous people the likes of Jayne Mansfield and husband Mickey Haggerty , Julie Nixon and David Eisenhower at the Bull Tavern and then a party of 40 with two other Servers at the Kimberton Country House for Billie Jean King and members and Management of the then Philadelphia Freedom Tennis team.
Betty worked at the The Columbia Hotel , the Bull Tavern, the Kimberton Country House and lastly at the Vale- Rio Diner. She had many requests from the guests who came to these Restaurants.
Betty was an avid Phillies fan who watched them play and went to hundreds of games over many years. She also enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune and many of the other older games from the 70's and 80's
Betty was a Lifelong active member St. Ann's Church and attended St. Ann's School until graduating 8th grade. She then attended Phoenixville area Junior and Senior Hugh.

Betty was proceeded in death by her Loving Son John J. Koch
Sisters: Anna Clemens , Helen O' Connell , Margaret Catafalmo and Brothers:
Joseph , Francis , Edward and Charles Koch.
Nephews: Billy Clemens , Michael Koch , Scott Koch and great nephew , Joe Koch and Great Niece , Jenna Koch.
Betty was also a member of the Woman's Guild VFW Post 1564
A Visitation will be held on Sunday August 9th from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm
The Funeral Mass will be held in St. Ann's Chapel on Tuesday , August 11th , 2020 with the Reverend Father John J. Newns Officiating.
Burial will take place in St. Ann's Cemetery following Mass.
Due to the Covid Outbreak the Mass and Burial will be private.
