Elizabeth A. “Betty” (Wasko) Farnquist, 86, wife of Jack R, Farnquist Sr. of Mont Clare, Pa. for 69 years, passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021.
Born on November 10, 1935 in Phoenixville, Pa. She was the daughter of the late John Wasko Jr. and Julia (Platco) Wasko.
She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Byzantine Catholic Church in Mont Clare, Pa.
Betty worked as an Electronic Technician by trade for most of her life, and was one of the first “females” in this trade, before retiring from Exxon (QYX) Information System.
She had a very generous heart and soul in everything she did. She was kind and thoughtful and always tried to make her family and others feel welcomed and loved.
She was a frequent member at the Friendship Fire Co., Royersford, Pa. where she would be sure her friend there always had a home cooked meal every night which she would hand deliver.
Betty had a “Love” for cooking like no other. Her Slovak dishes were “amazing”, as well as any meal she made. She was an avid bowler her entire life, loved to do crafts, bingo, and have family cook outs at her house.

She was preceded in death by Brother John Wasko, Sister Mary Louise Sumner, and Sister Joan Roncase
Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Divine Liturgy in St. Michael the Archangel Byzantine Catholic Church, Amelia and Landis Streets, Mont Clare, Pa. on Friday, January 7, 2021 at 10:30 AM
Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery
A viewing will be held in the church on Friday from 9:15 – 10:15 AM
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Disabled Veterans Association at DAV.ORG
Due to the increase in Covid cases, all attendees MUST WEAR A MASK during all indoor services. There will not be a luncheon to follow due to Covid.
