Eleanor T. (Warden) Saville, 95, wife of the late William E. Saville of Phoenixville, PA, passed, peacefully, at home, with family on Wednesday, June 17, 2020.
Born on February 1, 1925 in San Mateo, CA, Eleanor was the daughter of the late Ivan and Ethel (Murray) Warden and moved to Portland, Maine at the age of 2; where she met her future husband and developed her Maine accent.
Eleanor raised 9 children, while being employed as a waitress at the iconic Valerio Dinner. She later served as a cafeteria worker in the Phoenixville Area School District and retired in 1985 as a Quality Inspector at the West Company.
She was a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, where she spent many Sundays supporting the Women's Guild. Eleanor loved to travel, especially going on cruising/vacationing with her siblings and children; visiting lighthouses across the coast; bingo, reading, embroidery, and league bowling at Phoenix Lanes; where she celebrated her 90th birthday. Eleanor enjoyed watching Golf, the Phillies and the New England Patriots. Eleanor especially loved enjoying time in Ocean City, Maryland with her family.
Eleanor is survived by 9 children:
Daughter, Deborah, wife of the late, Tom Pleasants;
Son, William (Skip) Saville;
Son, Bruce, husband of Jan Saville;
Daughter, Bonnie Koch and partner, Jake Marlett;
Daughter, Nina, wife of Raymond Geisler;
Son, Garry, husband of Patricia Saville;
Son, Brent, husband of Lynn Saville;
Daughter, Theresa, wife of Bruce Ivanowicz;
Daughter, Cynthia Warren.
Eleanor was blessed with the love of 26 Grandchildren and 40 Great-grandchildren. As well as, the love and friendship of 30 plus years of Cheryl and John Kandrick and her dear bowling partner Peg Wallence.
She is survived by 2 sisters; Audrey Schoffield, wife of William, of Caribou, Maine and Deborah DeRapps of Ellsworth, Maine. Along with the love of numerous nieces and nephews.
Eleanor is predeceased in death by 2 grandsons, Sloane Andrew and Ryder Jacob; sister, Eloyce Willis; and brothers, Ivan, Thomas, Richard, and Robert Warden.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Eleanor's life at Devlin Rosmos Kepp and Gatcha Funeral Home, 517 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Saturday, June 20, 2020 from 9:00 am to 10:30 am. A limited number of guests will be permitted inside at any given time. Please be prepared to wear a mask and follow the social distancing guidelines.
Due to COVID regulations, a graveside service and burial will follow at Green Tree Cemetery, Oaks, PA. All are welcome to participate, while practicing social distancing.
