Edward R. Villanova

Edward R. Villanova, 78, husband of the late Nancy E. (Shives) Villanova of Phoenixville, PA passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2022.

Born on January 8, 1944 in Norristown, PA he was the son of the late Leon B. and Florence G. (Ciprero) Villanova.

He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Korea during the Cold War Era.  Ed attended FBI National Academy and then was a Detective for the Phoenixville Police Department for 20 years.

He was a longtime member of St. Ann Catholic Church, as well as a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 1374, Fraternal Order of Police.  Ed enjoyed volunteering for Seasons Hospice.

He is survived by his daughter, Nicole wife of Jeremy Payonk, his two granddaughters, Claire and Ava, and his sisters, Antionette Talone, Elizabeth Francis, Emma Schaefer, and Lenora Ostroski.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Leonard Villanova and Paul Villanova, and sister, Norma Gravinese.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass in St. Ann Chapel, 604 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Monday, June 13, 2022 at 11:00 am.

A visitation will be held in the chapel on Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 am.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Ann Catholic Church, 502 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA.
