Edward T. "Buzz" Murphy, Jr.

Edward T. "Buzz" Murphy, Jr., 81, husband of the late Kathleen M. "Kassy" (Dzuryachko) Murphy of Mont Clare, PA passed away suddenly on Tuesday, March 5, 2024.

Born on June 7, 1942 in Phoenixville, PA he was the son of the late Edward T. and Pauline A. (Graten) Murphy.

A proud "Northsider", he grew up on St. Mary's Street and maintained lifelong friendships with "the gang".

He served in the United States Navy.

He worked at Firestone Tire in Pottstown until it closed, then PennDOT, as well as part time doing electrical work with his sons.

He was a Philadelphia sports fan, especially Flyers and also enjoyed watching wrestling.  Buzz enjoyed watching his grandchildren participate in their activities.  He loved animals, especially his "granddogs".

He is survived by 2 sons:
John husband of Danielle Murphy;
Christopher husband of Angel Murphy.

4 Grandchildren, Connor, Cailyn, Kelly, and Kassidy.

Sister, JoAnn Yosko.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Catherine "Katie" Murphy who passed the same day 45 years ago and son, Edward Murphy.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Service in the Devlin - Gatcha Funeral Home, 517 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at 10:00 am

Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery.

A visitation will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.
