Edward Moore

Edward W. Moore, 71, of Phoenixville, PA passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2018 in the VA Medical Center in Coatesville.

He was born in Phoenixville on September 23, 1946 to the late Joseph F. and Frances R. (Rhoades) Moore and attended St. Mary Catholic School.

He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era.

Ed was an electrician and worked for West Company, B.F. Goodrich, and Wyeth Laboratories.

He was a member of V.F.W. Post 1564, Friendship Fire Company where he was an officer, West End Fire Company, and Valley Forge Fire Company.

He was proud of his Irish heritage and was a big Notre Dame fan.

He is survived by 3 sons: Edward J. and wife Nancy Moore, Daniel P. Moore and Kristin Schlichter, Joseph W. and wife Lauren Moore; 5 grandchildren: Edward N., Andrew, Danny, Nora, and Kyleigh; former wife Mary Ann Moore; sister, Judy Pinkerton; sister-in-law, Marlyn Moore; niece, Debbie Batzel; nephew, Gary Sheridan

He was preceded in death by a brother Joseph Moore, sister Kathleen Batzel, nephew Eugene Batzel, and niece Liza Batzel

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Service from the Devlin Rosmos Kepp & Gatcha Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 517 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 10:00 am.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 to 10:00 am.
