Dorothy Ann Davis (Magyar), “Dot”, a Phoenixville native, died
peacefully on December 23, 2019 near her home in Zephyrhills,
Florida following complications from chronic obstructive
pulmonary disease. Born in Phoenixville on July 22, 1926, to
John and Anna Magyar, she was 93 years old at her passing.
Her beloved husband, Philip C. Davis Jr. preceded her, passing
on January 14, 2017. Dorothy is survived by her two sons, Philip
C. Davis III and Brian K. Davis. Following graduation from
Phoenixville High School, Dorothy lived in Phoenixville with her
parents until marrying USAF Lt. Philip C. Davis Jr. on June 3,
1950 in Seguin, Texas, thereafter looking after her husband and
boys and meeting the challenges of a military life both at home
and abroad. Following a return to Phoenixville in 1972, Dorothy
pursued varied interests and charitable endeavors, supporting
the local Meals on Wheels Chapter, and serving on the Board of
Directors for the local Red Cross Chapter. In her later years,
Dorothy enjoyed Casino Day Trips to Atlantic City, watching
Philadelphia Phillies games with her husband, and celebrating
the holidays with her family. A viewing will be held from 2:00 PM
to 3:30 PM on Friday, January 3, at the Devlin, Rosmos, Kepp
Gatcha Funeral Home located at 517 South Main St.,
Phoenixville, PA. Flowers and contributions to the Hospice of
