Dolores Marie Steadman (Krashinski)

Dolores Marie Steadman (Krashinski), formerly of Hallowell Road, Phoenixville, PA, passed away at her home in Las Vegas, NV on Sunday, July 30, 2023, at the age of 86.  She was the widow of the late Dr. C. Michael Steadman of Statesville, NC.

Born on March 25, 1937, in Phoenixville, PA she was the daughter of the late Charles Krashinski and Mary (Meklos) Krashinski.  She graduated from Phoenixville Area High School, class of 1954, as Class Valedictorian where she also started at guard for the Girls’ Basketball Team, was Editor of the School Newspaper, and Head Majorette.

She went on to graduate at the top of her class from Misericordia Nursing School in 1957. Her nursing career included work at Norristown State Hospital, as a private nurse for John Cardinal Krol, work at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN, and lastly with her husband in his optometry practice in Crofton, Md, where she resided until her husband’s early passing.

Upon her return to Phoenixville in 1977, she was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, and heavily involved in volunteering for the Phoenixville Area Soccer Club and Phoenixville Boosters Club.  Later in life, she was an active fund raiser and founding member of The CMS Foundation in memory of her eldest son C. Michael Steadman, Jr.  For 20 years she was found around town seeking donations from local business owners in support of the foundation’s charitable endeavors and every summer led volunteers at the CMS Memorial Golf Tournament with family and friends.

She is survived by her two sons, Christopher Steadman, husband of Jin Kim-Steadman, and
Matthew Steadman, both of Las Vegas.  She was preceded in death by her loving brother Donald Krashinski.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass in St. Ann Catholic Church, 502 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 11:00 am with Rev. Daniel Arechabala officiating.

A visitation will be held in church on Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 am.

Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery. A reception is to follow at the Polish American’s Citizen’s Club at 328 High Street in Phoenixville.
