Dennis C. Duerr, 78, husband of the late Janice D. (Rudick) Duerr of Phoenixville, PA passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2025. 

Born on July 5, 1946 in Philadelphia, PA he was the son of the late Clifford and Marjorie (Clews) Duerr. He grew up in Roslyn and graduated from Abington High School. He was a proud Penn State graduate, was drafted and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He received a Master's Degree from Villanova University and settled down in Phoenixiville. 

Dennis worked as a Professional Surveyor for the majority of his working life, and he also worked earthwork construction, as well as teaching Surveying at Delaware County Community College for many years. He was a long time member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Phoenixville where he served as a member of the Stephen's Ministry and Church Council. 

He was an avid reader, enjoyed history and trains, loved an eclectic variety of music, relished taking road trips and going to the beach. He enjoyed the company of friends and having family get-togethers. 

He is survived by 2 children: Christopher Duerr, husband of Jennifer; and Catherine Duerr. 

Four grandchildren, Grace Flanagan, Lily Flanagan, Henry Duerr, and Annaliese Duerr. 

Sister, Debby, wife of Dave Caballero. 

He was preceded in death by his sister, Pam Walker. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 355 St. Johns Circle, Phoenixville, PA. A visitation will be held in the Fireside Room at the church from 9:45 to 10:45am, followed by the funeral service at 11am. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Memorial Park.
