Daniel F. Midgley, 64, of Phoenixville, PA, beloved husband of Angela (Martosella) Midgley, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, September 25, 2024.
Born on February 14, 1960 in Abington, PA he was the son of David R. Midgley, II (Carol) and the late Edythe (Mitchell) Dixson (Robert).
Dan graduated from Temple University where he played ice hockey. He began his career as an HVAC Mechanic in the family business with David Midgley & Company. He stayed in the oil heating business through the rest of his career until his retirement from Petro Home Services in October 2021. Dan was a wonderful Father who would tell anyone who would listen how proud he was of his children. He was a huge Philadelphia sports fan, loved bike riding, and was a history buff, especially everything related to The Battle of Gettysburg and Pennsylvania history. Dan and his wife spent much of their retirement together exploring historic Pennsylvania sites. Dan loved music and played guitar, and attended many Folk Festivals with his friends. He had a great sense of humor and was affectionately known as ‘Uncle Knucklehead’ a name derived from his love of The Three Stooges.
