Carol A. Dalton, 76, of Kimberton and formerly of Chesterbrook, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2022, in Paoli Hospital with her husband Tom by her side.
In addition to her husband Tom, to whom she was married for 53 years, she is survived by two sons, Steven Dalton and Scott Dalton (Candice) and two grandsons, Mason and Miles. She is also survived by her sister, Eileen Evans, and a brother, John Sverida.
Carol was born on December 27, 1945, in Jamaica, Long Island, and was the daughter of John and Teresa Sverida.
Carol loved her sons and as a stay-at-home Mom, she was there to mold them into the men they have become today.
Carol and Tom travelled extensively around the world when they were younger. They also enjoyed their vacation home at the New Jersey Shore for 20 years. Carol loved to walk the beach and find the perfect shells, which are all over her home.
Carol was an avid bridge and pinochle player and loved to join different card groups, most recently the Phoenixville YMCA group. Carol also loved to volunteer at the many churches she and Tom belonged to in their married life.
A Funeral Mass is being held at St. Basil the Great Catholic Church, 2330 Kimberton Road, Phoenixville, PA on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 10:30AM. There will be no receiving line. Carol’s urn will be interred at the Washington Memorial Chapel Churchyard in Valley Forge Park privately. Carol loved the park as her Chesterbrook home was right behind it.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Gateway Animal Hospital in Carol’s name at 700 Croton Road, Wayne, PA 19087. Gateway Animal Hospital took care of 4 of the 5 cats Carol and Tom had since they were married.
