Carol E. Burkhart

Carol E. Burkhart, 82, of Phoenixville, PA  passed away at her daughter's home in Upper Black Eddy, PA on Saturday morning, November 5, 2022. She was the wife of the late Richard Dietrich and the late Carl Burkhart

She was born in Phoenixville, PA on June 18, 1940 to the late Russell Emrich, and Elizabeth (Arndt) Emrich.  Her mother passed when she was very young and her father remarried and she was raised by her step mother Helen Scott.

She graduated from Phoenixville High School and attended Eastern Baptist Seminary.  Carol worked for Volunteers in Mission at American Baptist Convention Headquarters in King of Prussia.  She was an active member of GraceCrossing Community Church in Phoenixville.

Carol is survived by children:  Donna wife of Jack Karkoska, Cathy wife of Patrick Penecale, Beth wife of Bob Moore, and Richard husband of Megan Dietrich; step-children:  Keith husband of Christina Burkhart, Pamela wife of Gary Szilagyi, and Karla Rush;  grandchildren:  Kelli, Kim, Megan, Bob, Kyle, Karly, Christopher, Vanessa, Alek, Stefan, Ryan, and Rebecca, great grandchildren:  Ashlynn, Savannah, Briana, Michael, Madison, Eadie, Rosemarie, Joshua, Lillianna, and Andre; and brother Robert Emrich.

She was preceded in death by brothers:  Russell Emrich, Richard Emrich, and Raymond Emrich.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Visitation at GraceCrossing Community Church, 248 Church Street, Phoenixville, PA on Saturday, November 19, 2022 from 10:00 to 11:00 am.  A Memorial Service will be held in the church at 11:00 am.  Burial will be private.
