Born on March 10, 1941 in Shenandoah, PA, she was the daughter of the late Julius and Evelyn (Kananavage) Karas.

Barbara was a graduate of Roxborough High School in Philadelphia.

She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Phoenixville.

Barbara enjoyed gardening, country line dancing and playing Mahjong.

Surviving in addition to her husband are,
son, Michael Idzik,
daughter, Michelle and husband Dan Lawler,

3 grandchildren,
Abbey, Joe and Jack.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass in Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 219 Dayton Street, Phoenixville, PA, on Friday, March 3, 2017 at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA.
Visitation will be held at the church on Friday morning from 8:45 am to 10:45 am.
