Barbara Ann (Tirpak) Douglas, 78, wife of Glen E. Douglas, of Phoenixville, PA, died on Monday, March 27, 2017 in Seasons Hospice.
Born on September 9, 1938 in Phoenixville, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Ann (Grochowski) Tirpak.
Barbara was a graduate of Villa Maria Academy, and attended the Westminster Conservatory of Music in Princeton, NJ. She was a member of the Villa Maria Alumni Association.
She worked at Coatesville Veterans Hospital, and then at Valley Forge General Hospital in Phoenixville.
She served as organist and choir director at many area churches, and also taught piano and organ lessons.
She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Phoenixville.
Barbara loved animals, especially dogs and cats.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Briana Michelle Douglas.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass in St. Ann Catholic Church, Main Street at Third Avenue, Phoenixville, PA, on Monday, April 3, 2017 at 11:00 am.
Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Phoenixville, PA.
A viewing will be held at the church on Monday morning from 9:45 am to 10:45 am.
