Barbara B. Burk

Barbara (Banko) Burk, 62, wife of Russell S. Burk of Phoenixville, PA passed away Monday April 3, 2023 in Parkhouse Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a long battle with early onset dementia.

Born on March 31, 1961 in Reading, PA, she was a daughter of the late Cyril and Rita (Haney) Banko.

Son, Kevin Burk

Brothers, William Banko, Michael Banko, Matthew and wife Sarah Banko

Mother-in-law, Marilyn wife of the late Alfred Burk

Sister-in-law, Karen wife of Joseph Cannizzaro

Brother-in-law,  Donald Burk

Nephew and Nieces, Joseph Banko, Megan Banko, Rebecca Kolb wife of Jarrod Kolb. 

Also her lifelong friends the New Jersey Crew.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Cyril Banko and her sister, Mary Banko Cabrera. 

Barbara spent her high school years in Freehold, NJ, where she spent summers working at Six Flags Great Adventure, and this is where she met her husband Russell. More recently, Barbara was employed as a manager for Bloomingdales in King of Prussia and then as a data entry clerk for Beckett and Lee Law Firm in Malvern. 

Barbara was a loving wife, mother and friend. Russell and Barb were married for 37 years. Her greatest joy was raising Kevin, and she was a great mother. She loved her dog Casey, who was a comfort to her during her illness. We will always remember her bright smile and laugh. 

The family would like to thank all of the wonderful caregivers and health care providers who cared for Barbara for the past decade. Special thanks to Shaina Baynard and Mamawa Kaneh who cared for Barbara like family.

Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Gathering for Barabra at Mollie Maguires, 197 Bridge Street, Phoenixville, PA  on Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.
