Annamay T. (Geiser) Porchik, 85, wife of the late Andrew Porchik of Phoenixville, PA passed away on Monday, September 14, 2020 at home.
Born on November 30, 1934 in Philadelphia, PA she was the daughter of the late Joseph Geiser, Sr. and Josephine (Walz) Geiser.
She graduated from Nativity B.V.M. Business School. After high school she did data entry at Ward Bakery, French's Mustard, then became mother and caretaker of the family Annamay then worked in the Owen J. Roberts school cafeteria, First Financial Savings Bank, and retired from American Baptist Church Ministries.
She was a member of St. Basil the Great Catholic Church and former member of the church choir and former trainer of altar servers.
She loved jigsaw puzzles, games, cards, trips to the casino and was the keeper of the family tree. Her favorite meal was Liver and Onions. Inexplicably, she failed to pass on the love of this meal to her children.
She is survived by 5 children:
Daughter, Sandra Porchik;
Daughter, Donna wife of Timothy Smith;
Daughter, Stephanie Soltys wife of Chester Soltys, III;
Daughter, Debra Gilardi wife of Frank Gilardi, Jr.;
Son, Michael husband of Diane Porchik.
11 Grandchildren: Will, Heather, Tylinn, Elizabeth, Samantha, Christine, Victoria, Andrew, Theodore, Alexandria, and Olivia.
10 Great-grandchildren.
2 Step -grandchildren, Timothy and Alara.
3 Step Great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Josephine, Louise, Rosella, John, Bernard, Francis, Richard, Teresa, and Joseph, Jr.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service in the Devlin Rosmos Kepp and Gatcha Funeral Home, 517 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460 on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 10:00 am.
Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery.
A visitation will be held in the Devlin Rosmos Kepp and Gatcha Funeral Home, 517 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Saturday, September 26, 2020 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. Masks will be required and distancing guidelines must be followed.
In lieu of flowers contribution may be made to St. Basil the Great Catholic Church, 2300 Kimberton Road, Phoenixville, PA 19460 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
