Altherine Banton

Altherine "Dottie" Banton, 77, wife of the late Dalwin A. Banton of Phoenixville, PA died on Monday, July 15, 2019 in Phoenixville Hospital.

Born on May 23, 1942 in Saint Mary, Jamaica, she was the daughter of the late Ronald McFarquhar and Madeline Walker-Abraham.

She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Phoenixville, PA. Devoted mother and grandmother.

She is survived by 4 children:

Daughter, Tracy Ann Gray and husband Jamie;

Son, Jeffrey Banton and wife Betsy.

Daughter, Sheila Thompson and husband Junius, Jr.;

Daughter, Kidde Kokole.

6 Grandchildren:

Junius Thompson, Porter Thompson, Kaya Banton, Jamie Gray, Jr., Jamarcus Gray, and Desire Gray.

Altherine's last living uncle, Realton Walker.

Sisters, Lucille Wright, Merceda Allen, Connella McFarquhar - Greene, Elouise McFarquhar - Jones, Patricia McFarquhar - Lee.

Brothers, Fitzie McFarquhar, Roylance McFarquhar, Clyde McFarquhar, Bramwell Abraham, Leyroy Abraham, Seymore Allen, and Wilbert McFarquhar.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend he Funeral Service in Bethel Baptist Church, 412 Fairview Street, Phoenixville, PA on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at 11:00 am with Rev. Nathan Coleman officiating.

Burial will follow in Morris Cemetery.

A viewing will be held Wednesday in church form 9:00 to 11:00 am.
