Alexander Szabo

July 18, 1919 — March 9, 2016

Alexander J. Szabo, Jr., 96, husband of the late Carmella M. (Schiavone) Szabo, of Phoenixville, PA died on Wednesday, March 9, 2016. Born in Cedar Hollow, PA he was the son of the late Alexander Sr. and Mary (Butkovich) Szabo. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II. Alex worked at West Pharmaceutical Company for 37 years. He was a member of St. Ann Church where he helped start of Holy Name Society, and was the parish photographer for over 40 years. He was also a member of Knights of Columbus Council 1374, Phoenixville Senior Center, and Phoenixville Historical Society He is survived by: Daughter, Rosemary L. Szabo Daughter, Loraine A. Szabo Preceded by two daughters: Lucille Marie and Sarabelle Szabo Preceded by two brothers: William and Geza Szabo Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at St. Ann Catholic Chapel, 604 Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Friday, March 11, 2016 at 11:00 am with Rev John J. Newns officiating. A viewing will be in the chapel on Friday from 9:45 to 10:45am. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Devlin Rosmos Kepp & Gatcha Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Phoenixville, PA
