Alex Nemchenko, 65, of Union Township, Berks County, PA, passed away on November 30, 2016, at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, MD.
Born on March 30, 1951 in Doswell, VA, and raised in Phoenixville, PA, he was the son of the late Oleksa and Klaudia Nemchenko.
He attended Phoenixville High School, then served in the Army during the Vietnam War.
For 31 years he worked for Penn Dot as a Civil Engineer.
Alex loved life, music, the outdoors, animals, and the Blue Ridge Mountains.

beloved fiancée, Julianna Kowal of Birdsboro, PA,
daughter, Tracy L. Sikes of Gilbertsville, PA;
2 grandchildren,
Jade D. Sikes,
Jocelyn D. Sikes,
brother, Anthony Nemchenko of Limerick, PA,
niece, Erica Nemchenko,
Alex's best friend, Charles Kelly of King of Prussia, PA.
He was preceded in death by nephew, Anthony Tyler Nemchenko.
A Memorial Service will be held in the Devlin Rosmos Kepp & Gatcha Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 517 S. Main Street at Fourth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA, on Monday, December 12, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
