Albert D. Turner, Sr., 91, husband of Jeannette C. (Soltys) of Phoenixville, PA passed away on Friday, March 29, 2024 peacefully at his home.
Born on September 13, 1932 in Phoenixville, PA he was the son of the late Richard L. and Flora M. (Fox) Turner.
Al served in the United States Army from 1950 to 1953 in Germany.
He worked at Synthane-Taylor in Oaks until it's closing and then went on to work at the Northern Chester County Technical School. Al was an accomplished carpenter and cabinet maker. One of his favorite hobbies was being out in his shop working on new projects.
He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, Friendship Fire Company, The Polish Club, and Pike Township Sportsman's Association.
In addition to his wife of 69 years, Al is survived by 2 sons:
Al Turner, Jr. husband of Joanne and Brian Turner.
2 Grandchildren, Kelly wife of Tim Penrose and Dylan Turner.
2 Great-grandchildren, Carly and Chase Penrose.
Al was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Ronald, Grace, Calvin, Logan, Harold, Glenn, Betty, and Ruth.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass at St. Ann Catholic Church, 502 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Friday, April 5, 2024 at 11:00 am.
A visitation will be held in the church on Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 am.
